Bicycle Yatra for Peace, 2016

Right now we are on a Bicycle Yatra for Peace, and have been on the road for several months going from Kathmandu, Nepal to Ladakh, India. You can find news on us online by searching "Kung Fu Nuns."

We will be in Ladakh for the "Six Ornaments of Naropa" Festival in September. This happens only once every twelve years, and this year is the "Kumbh Mela" millennial anniversary. Entrusted with the sacred Ornaments, the spiritual leader of our lineage, the Gyalwang Drukpa, will display and wear the sacred relics of the great Buddhist saint Naropa. We will also perform at the festival to hundreds of thousands of people -- not only Kung Fu, but also dance, music, and our Buddhist rituals. Many of the rituals we do are usually reserved for monks only, so this is a huge honor and we hope to inspire all people to be confident and embrace gender equality. Our "Khenmo" teacher nuns will also be doing large-scale public teachings for all the people.

Please stay tuned for more news, and check our Twitter and Facebook feeds. Right now our everything is still under construction, but we will add more as soon as can. In the meantime, you can find coverage on our Bicycle Yatra with an online search. Thank you!
